# Introduction

## Increasing Adoption of Meta Eco-Systems

Most NFTs games currently suffer a common issue: low player base. Many of them don’t even publish their metrics comprised of the MAU (Monthly Active Users) or DAU (Daily Active Users) because the player adoption and retention would project a negative outlook. For example, Axie Infinity before it exploded in popularity, only had a MAU of 7,200 as of Oct, 2020. The root cause of this lack of adoption is the expensive initial cost creating a massive barrier of entry for a new player to take part. They have to pay upfront a large sum of money to acquire the NFTs before actually playing the game and being able to earn back their initial investment. As a result, most of the players for those games are speculators rather than actual players with a player’s mindset…there for the fun but like the idea of enjoying passive income while they play.
